This is a charity being set up to build and run a community centred healthcare centre in the rural Kitui District of eastern Kenya, focussing on general health education and care, but also providing the much needed maternity support and counselling for mothers.

 

Less than half of all the children born here survive their first three years of life. Many of these deaths are preventable. The founders of Tender Mercies know that with a health centre in place they can drastically reduce the mortality rate of these children by providing essential medical help and education to the surrounding population.
